Who We Are
In 1917, Gustave "Gus" Larson began installing lightning rods in Harrisburg, PA. His son, Wayne, took over in 1966, followed by Wayne's son, Bruce, in 1977. Bruce named the business Larson Lightning Protection, Inc and ran the company until 2000, when he sold the company to Al Adelmann, who leads the company today.
Since our inception, we have helped guide our speciality industry towards higher standards through our work on the Lightning Protection Institute Board of Directors and the Lightning Protection Institute Inspection Program.
Through three generations of Larson's, and continuing today, commitment to the highest industry standards remains at our core. We pride ourselves on attention to detail and working with you to complete your project on schedule and on budget.

We pride ourselves on attention to detail and have the experience needed to assist on even the toughest design challenges. Larson Lightning Protection, Inc. is certified by the Lightning Protection Institute as a Master Designer.
Installation and Repairs
We’re fully prepared to tackle even the most complex projects and stand by the exceptional quality of our work. We have extensive experience with commercial, industrial, residential, military and specialty projects. We are listed as a Certified Installer by Underwriter's Laboratory and are certified by the Lightning Protection Institute as Master Installers.
Inspection and Maintenance
Our team provides complete lightning protection inspection and certification following NFPA 780, UL 96A and military standards. We support on-going care and attention to your project through periodic inspection and maintenance, ensuring your system meets current standards and is safe for years to come.
Consulting and Education
We are available as resource to our partners in the building industry that want to learn more about proper lightning protection system design and certification.
The Yorktowne Hotel:
Named Most Innovative Design Award Winner
We are honored that our collaboration with BBEC, Inc. on the lightning protection for the renovated Yorktowne Hotel was awarded this year's most innovative design. Each year, the Lightning Protection Institute highlights a project that represents creative design, collaboration and highlights our industry's highest standards. This historic project required our teams experience, workmanship and communication to make it a success.
